Bill,

David Knowles' new book "MGB" (June '99) has quite a lot of good info on
the GTs, as does Clausager's book "Original MGB." There is also a
Brooklands book "MGB GT 1965-1980" that contains reprints of period
reviews. I think these are all available from Barnes and Noble on line,
http://bn.com.

I have them all, and enjoy them all!

I found a '72 GT with OD on the Internet for my daughter, and a good
friend has a '71 (split bumper) also with OD, so they did come that
way. Regarding A/C, I don't know.

Be sure to check the classified listings on all the major MG sites, that
is where I found the '72, and I also found a good OD tranny for my son's
'64. Don't be afraid to look outside of your local area, particularly
in the rust-free southwest. A sound rust free car is worth the cost of
transporting, and you can convert a non-OD car to OD easily, perhaps
easier than finding the OD transmission itself!

Good luck!
