Great pictures - Merc absolutely is a 300 SL - special version - priceless
cars these are...
300's were recognizable from the inlets behind the front wheels.
190's did not have these...

Cheers,

Hans

FINALLY, IT'S DONE !!!

All of my pictures from ATW Rally are now on line. Today's addition is the
Classic and Historic vehicles and a few miscellaneous images including some
visitors. There are now over 140 pictures of 37 rally vehicles (plus
visitors). Two cars were retired from this section of the rally, and three
others I just plain missed. If anyone has any pictures available to fill
in the blank frames, lemmeno.

The larger images are mostly under 40K, and most start out as thumbnails
for quick loading. So you don't have to wait for all the big ones to
download, but can pick and choose what you want to see. Start here:

I have a burning curiosity about one non-rally vehicle. See this:
    http://www.chicagolandmgclub.com/photos/atwr/395x.html
It appears to be a Mercedes-Benz Super Light, possibly a 190SL, 1959
vintage or thereabouts, but it might be newer. It's partly covered, so it
may be a challenge. Can anyone nial down the model and year for me? I
ain't no expert on M.B.
