Eric,

My '68B started the second wind of this thread, sounds like it wanted to
share it's experience with a sister! Thanks for the web address, had not yet
seen that one.

One another note... I have disassembled both of my front hub and found NO
shims!!! I have ordered some and will rebuild with new bearings, races, and
yes Ed, shims... I am also doing a complete brake job and found a very scary
situation. Both front calipers had one piston frozen! One side of the rotor
was nice and even and the other side pitted and rough. Got new rebuilt
calipers from the local NAPA store for $53.33 (US) each and am ready to put
it all back together.

PS: Eric, don't let your '68 read the part about my brakes!!!

Gee, thanks guys!

Coming home from the track today I developed a really annoying grinding
noise (irritatingly mesmerising and only disguised by my loud singing)
that seems to be directly related to wheel revolutions.....

I am sure if you lot had not been going on about wheel bearings I would
be fine with all my other little/large faults and hassles without THIS
(my *car* is the hypocondriac, not *me*).

Now, did I miss anyone posting this link???
