It's very tempting to have a chat with the media but to what end. They'd
only be interested if there was sensational value and that wouldn't help
our business at all. If the truth be known, it boils down to lack of
resources for the police (and everyone else) and that won't change because
there is more political mileage in other 'initiatives', not actually
spending money on the police force. Having said that, and despite the way
the media like to portray the situation, we are a very safe and well
protected society - why else would we expect (and get) the coppers to come
and catch a couple of puppy pinchers? It's hardly the crime of the century
is it.
