What makes you prefer the Haynes manual spcifically? "In depth"
covers a lot of ground as a reason. Maybe I should ask what you mean by
that term.

Now I have to think qualitatively and attempt to express myself on a Friday
afternoon! Sheesh!
The Bentley has a lot of information. It is interesting to see how Service Tool
18G47C and Adaptors 18G47AH are supposed to be used. It doesn't help me out
much. Haynes is more oriented towards the actual tasks I am likely to perform
with tools I am likely to have (or lust for). The Bentley makes a fine
reference manual, but the Haynes is what I take out to the garage with me to
refer to while doing the work (helps keep that Bentley book clean, too). I
won't even address any functionality accidentally included in my Chilton's
manuals. I still haven't forgiven them for the lovely piece of prose in their
Toyota manual regarding changing headgaskets where they referred to the
camshaft and the crankshaft both as the crankshaft throughout. Sometimes you
could tell which one they meant, sometimes you couldn't...
When I cook I like to read "Joy of Cooking" to find out more info about the
ingredients I am using, but I tend to use recipes from my "Better Homes and
Gardens Cookbook".
In other words, I can't seem to be able to put my finger on the exact factor
that makes me prefer the Haynes and it is really bugging me now. Thanks for
screwing up my weekend, Charley <VBG>!!!
