Hi Ross,
I'm not talking about areas that have been structurally compromised. The 
areas I repaired were only lacey and cratered from previous rust.
I agree, it's probably not the "be all end all" for rusted out sections. 
While POR-15 says it will repair heavily rusted panels, I would still weld 
new ones in.
I should think, though, that fiberglas tape could bond some weak seams.
