probably not, but i'd guess whoever is doing the site is either
using Microsoft's extensions to Java, or Microsoft's HTML
enhancements that improve the "experience" for IE users..
using either of those reflect the ms-philosophy to "embrace and
improve/extend standards"---what happens then is all folks meeting
the REAL standards get locked out..
ms-Java written apps can NOT be run by 100% pure Java clients..
ms-HTML enhanced web pages are NOT usable by non-IE browsers (in
fact, the IE used on the Mac can't even use them)..
i'll not drive my dad's oldsmobile and i'll find a parts source
that does not require me to drive IE..
i call for a boycott on all web pages that lock out non-IE
browsers---well, why don't we just all drive Oldsmobils too, sure
would make it simpler for all the mechanics (like web pages only
for IE are easy for web programmers)..
