Help! Maybe I'm missing something obvious here, but how do I remove the nut
holding the rear (wire wheel) hub onto the axle shaft.
It appears the nut is a 1-3/8" (I have one I removed from a parts car -
non-wire wheel).
The ID of the hub is approx 1.680". 1-3/8" sockets are hard to come by. I
saw one on Snap-on's website, but the OD is spec'd at 1-3/4", which won't fit
inside the hub.
What's the secret?
