Any of you out there with a late model B that has the CEI ignition with
the external amplifier? I need one of you to take a peek under your
bonnet for me. In reinstalling my newly rebuilt motor I inadvertently
knocked a wire loose and I'll be damned if I can find where it attaches.
I have checked the wiring diagram and the Moss catalogue to no avail. It
has a black wire coming out of what appears to be a diode or resistor of
some type. It is attached via a clamp under the coil and on top of the
amplifier fitted to later model Bs. It actually is squeezed in place
with the coil clamp. The other end has a female electrical fitting and
the wire reaches perfectly to the + side of the coil altho the wiring
diagram does not show any black wires attached to the coil. My car is
dead stock so any of you with stock ignition systems should have the
same part. Appreciate any help! Thanks.
