Oh? Some do, and some don't, and to the best of my knowledge the MGA front
wheel bearings do not have a specified thrust side but look the same from
either direction. I have had my front wheel bearings out for a repack
about every 20,000 miles or so for the last 170,000 miles (several times),
and even replaced them with new ones once at about 190,000 miles (not that
it did any good). Present bearings have another 130,000 miles on them and
are in tip top condition. I suspect I have changed their orientation on
more than one occasion when out for repacking, as I could never tell which
side was wich after cleaning. There are no orientation marks on these
bearings, and my professionally trained engineering eye cannot tell one
side from the other. I know what polarized ball bearings (thrust ball
bearings) look like, and these aint it.
