Thanx to those responding to my partial dilemma.

I now have blinkers, hazards, headlights and brake lights !
I spent 5 flippin' hours tracing everything through.

I originally was trying to get the major lights operational,
but now..........I have everything but tail lights, parking lights
and license plate illuminators.
A telltale that illuminates when the headlight switch is in the
parking light mode and in the headlight mode is my cigar lighter.
I tried everything everyone advised me to do by the end of the 5 hours.
(The radio is removed which makes things somewhat easier).

I feel a lot safer driving now, but I can't drive it after dark until I
fix this problem. (that's a bummer).

2 more questions.

1.Where do I look to check the ground on the rear lights ?
2. I am reading my Bentley's shop manual 1962-1970 part 1,
pg. 12 it reads:
a. the fuse connecting terminals 'A1' and 'A2' protects the
accessories that operate irrespective of whether the ignition is on or off.
b. the fuse connecting terminals 'A3' and 'A4' protects the accessories
that operate only when the ignition is switched on (stop lights,
directional indicators etc).

So I have headlights, my cigar lighter lights when the headlight switch
is switched to parking lights and on headlight mode, the fuses do not
blow, where should I go next, please?
