Fuel Guage - 67 MGB

To the Wisdom of the List:

I have a 67 MGB and when the tank gets
full the needle on the guage tends to go way
beyond the Full mark on the guage.

The sending unit in the tank has been
changed recently so I do not think it is
this item.

Could the guage need to be fixed or it
something else????
