Well, I can tell you that you may not believe his opinion to be smart -
but it certainly is a common thought.  Try selling a GT in Australia and
compare the time it will sit in the yard compared to its topless mate.

I think for most people when they come around to thinking MG and/or
sports car, they are thinking roadster before they even start looking
for one to buy, usually because they "can't imagine a GT being as fun to
drive" - just another tin-top to them.

But if they have to "imagine" the experience then obviously that is all
they have to go on because they obviously haven't driven one yet.

I want a GT - and a C - and, of course, an A (I imagine all of them as
being fun to drive :-) (...and a TC... and a Y-type... K...)
