   Before you start disassembly, get someone to push the pedal while you
observe the clutch cylinder. If it is pushing the lever 1/2 inch or more,
the hydraulics would seem to be working and the problem could be
mechanical, inside the clutch housing.  If this is your lucky day, it's
the clutch slave cylinder that is misbehaving. It is easy to repair or
replace.
