Glenn,

Saw your note so thought I would reply. Don't know anything about Topdown
(though it appears to be the same one too) but the one that Moss and our
Company
sell is the same one. It is constructed of a heavy piece of Lexan and the
brackets are heavy duty and mount into the tonneau rail brackets. I have had
one on my MGA and MGB now for about two years and no problems. We have sold a
heck of a lot of them and they do work.

My wife was very skeptical at first so we tried it before I decided to carry
it and it works. You can hear the radio easily, You can talk on the phone
(taboo in several states of course), you can smoke (if you do ;))) And most
importantly your wifes hair will get less snarled, where just comb through it
will
usually work just fine. I also find that when wearing a hat I don't have to
keep my hand on my head (though I still always use a cap keeper regardless) to
keep the hat on.

Hope this helps.

Jeff

I know of at least three places that sell them: Moss,
LBCarCo, and this Topdown place.

Would anyone who has actually purchased one like to
comment about effectiveness and build quality of the
one you purchased?

Please cc me directly as I'm on the digest version.

Thanks,
