No. One, it's way too heavy (it would be a huge chunk of your weight
budget). Two, the gear ratio is completely wrong for a 1/2hp source turning
at roughly 100rpm. Three, why do you even need a differential in a HPV? The
tires are going to be less than 1 inch wide, with very little loading --
they can skid a little.
Think -- there's a reason you see chain drive on things like bicycle
rickshaws and paddle boats.
