There were "Factory" hard tops with black vinyl. I have one that was
original on my US spec 1969 MGB that was delivered in europe. When I first
needed a part for it I was informed by many that it could not be a factory
hard top because of the vinyl. Well, guess what...it sure is! If you look
at any parts breakdown pictures on the factory ones, you will see that the
side frames not only surround the window but extend all the way down to the
body.
