Well, the American Heritage folks are nuts. Fascism is "far
right" and communism is "far left" and in effect they are
virtually identical. I'd say that a better definition of
political factions is a circle. Anarchy is at the top.
Communism and fascism are at the bottom, side by side, and
representative democracy is in the middle. The farther away
you get from that middle in any direction, the more danger
you court.
