... and this is the problem.  People normally see a big improvement -  
but only over shocks that were pretty broken to start with.  For any  
real comparison they would need to seriously try levers in as-new  
condition THEN try the tube shocks.

My suspension is gradually being tied down tighter and tighter as I  
get more serious about my lap times and less about my comfort but to  
this day I have had no real issues with the lever-arm shocks even  
under track conditions (with uprated valves).  They have certainly  
stood up to the punishment over the years with minimal maintenance.

This is especially significant when for a year I ran on 15" rims with  
205/60 tyres - you would expect those bloody great hunks of rubber  
and metal to worry some part of the suspension but still nothing broke.

If it is proven necessary at some stage I may change - but presently  
I am sticking with the levers.
