My understanding is that you are allowed a maintenance drive once/week. As I
understood it you were
allowed to drive it once a week to almost anywhere. I talked to them about
driving it to work once a
week, and keeping within the 2500 mile per year (recommended) limit. It was my
understanding that
they did not want you to park it in an unattended parking lot at work where it
could be stolen or
damaged. Seemed to me that any self respecting car thief would have better
pickings with the late
model BMWs and SUVs than with a 40 year old LBC no matter what condition it was
in.

I guess if it got trashed in the parking lot at work, they would have an issue,
but if you had an
accident during a once per week maintenance drive, and it happened on the same
streets you happen to
use while driving to work, I'm not sure what they could say. Of course there
are many ways you could
cheat on this, like doing it every day rather than once per week. Also, for
those in rush hour
traffic situations, that would seem like cheating too.

In my case, on a once per week maintenance drive, I would have to consciously
avoid the streets I
use to drive to work. Seems kind'a silly to me. Also, I'm not in heavy rush
hour traffic in my area.

Even the worst traffic in Binghamton NY is nothing compared to the best of the
traffic here in DC.
The last time I drove in Binghamton, I wondered if it had been evacuated.
