Hmmm, well, the pressure will only rise to the level of the cap, which could 
occur from reasons other than steam pockets.  Logic dictates that the 
grommet should *at least* be capable of resisting cap pressure, but maybe 
that is where it falls down.

My understanding was that the switches would hold in place so long as
they were under fluid pressure. The prime cause of them popping out was
low coolant level producing pockets of high pressure steam in the tank.
