| Even on my '73 BGT I had to lift the motor off it's mount about 1-1.5" to 
drop it down into place. But fully mounted there are no clearance issues. 
I've have the complete 'big bore' system on my year round daily driver BGT 
since '98.   I did just recently replace the rear box as it finally started 
blowing a seam. But the rest of the pipe is still there and in reasonable 
shape.
