   Well, let me point out that the content of quoted sentence is wrong. 
  That's just not how ABS works.  What ABS does is pump each wheel's 
brake rapidly (something you seem to be in favor of) and sample each 
wheel's RPM in between pumps.   It just seeks to keep from allowing any 
wheel to lock up.
