I'm sorry I'm not able to give a definative answer to the painted/chrome
wire wheel questions; however the 65 4/4 that I owned has chrome wires on
it when I bought it. (The works record card only indicates "wire Wheels"
w/out any mention of finish. This could mean that they all left the
factory as painted wheels.)
BTW, If anyone knows the whereabouts of this car; Red body w. black
interior, chassis # B1123, Eng # 5441375, I would be interested in
repurchasing it. The last I knew it had been sold to a "bloke" in
Oklahoma.
