The SLR was a venture set up by Chris Lawrence and John Sprinzel in 1963
named Sprinzel Lawrence Racing and abreviated as SLR.
4 Cars were built using a body "Designed for aerodynamic efficiency". Three
were built on Morgan Chassis and one on a TR4 Chassis. John Worrall and Liz
Turners Book (Original Morgan) has an illustration of one owned by Bill
Fink.
Gregory Houston Bowden in his book describes one as being "involved in a
first lap incident and written off".

and Fred Sisson writes

That makes Three. So the question now is Which one was written off? Was it
the TR4? Or was it rebuilt and there is yet another SLR about somewhere?
Sorry about the inaccuracy wrt Tony's outing at Castle Coombe. I know that
Tony Feels very strongly that the car should be raced, but he is also very
aware of its importance. Thanks to Martin for the correction. It certainly
helps to have been there!!
