Hey Chip,

Here is a "system description" provided courtesy of Old Man Steve Laifman of
the Tiger List. He is good folks even though he no longer has a Morgan of any
description.

The Edlebrock system works on anything, including fuel injection, as long as
its air/gas and has an exhaust pipe. It's really cool. They provide an
internally
threaded steel ring you weld on an exhaust pipe somewhere inconspicuous.
(Muffler
shop work). You drill a hole in the exhaust pipe, through the center of the
ring.
You screw in the provided oxygen sensor, which is a stock engine sensor from
the
new computer controlled emissions engines. This is about the size of a spark
plug
(with the same thread, I think), and protrudes into the exhaust stream. You
run
the provided wires to a small block with a row of LED's. Connect it to battery
power and drive. The number of led's lit tell you the oxygen level, which
correlates to the unburned hydrocarbons, which is the mixture ratio. You can
see
these little lights changing under differnt driving conditions, which lets you
know where your leaning out, or getting too rich. Now, changing the right carb
piece is the art, but not all that difficult, and a hell of a lot easier than
pulling plugs and trying to read their color. The great part is you can do it
under load in real driving situations. The little block of LED's is only about
an
inch and a half long, and can be mounted under the bottom dash pad left of the
wheel. It can even be attached to a connector, and removed when your not using
it, so know one will see anything. You have to be a little clever with where
you
put the sensor, but you could go to the extreme of removing it and putting a
brass plug in the hole. Even better than "colortune" spark plugs, which can't
be
used for driving. It's about $130. Not cheap, but not outrageous. Works on ANY
car and can be moved between cars. There are competing devices, of a similar
design, but they only have ta couple of LED's. I would like to "creep up" on
the
right value, than have it say "wrong", "right".
