I converted my 1963 4/4 last year, having driven it with the old Armstrong
shocks for 6 years before that. The difference was immediately noticeable and
the car handles much better.
For those interested in keeping the old units, Apple Hydraulics in Long
Island, NY (they regularlly advertise in Hemmings) supposedly do a great job
of restoring the Armstrongs.
