Hi Elton,

Since there's stickiness in all the gears, maybe the problem is in the
shifter rods or in the ball socket of the shift lever.  There are
spring-loaded detents that hold the shift rods in position, can they
be screwed down too tightly?  Do the detents have burrs?  There's a
screw on the side of the shift tower, is that in place?  Sometimes the
problem is in the obvious.  I always rejoice when it is, especially
after agonizing over the "worst possible" scenarios.

Maybe Fred Sisson or Greg Solow will have experience with similar
problems.

Accelerating through the gears, no problem.  But get on
