Moss box sticking in gear

You may want to try to back off the detents in the cover of the box that 
locate the shift forks.  If this fails you may have a problem in the little 
balls and springs that locate the synchro hubs.  Was this box rebuilt 
recently?  Could heavier detent springs been put in the hubs?  Unfortunately 
this requires dismantling the box to check out....
