If you have the factory pump (i.e. a block mounted, diaphragm type), you
will want to move your fuel filter from between the gas tank and the pump
to between the pump and the carburetor.  Where the fuel filter is now will
probably cause you some problems on down the line.  The diaphragm type pump
does not work for very long if there is any type of restriction on the
suction end.  Good luck.
