I have a 46 1/2 ton and it went for the state inspection. I was told I need
new tie rod ends. Now looking in the catalogs I see that there are both
Modern and Old style replacements. Can anyone tell the difference - it
sated that the Modern will steer better. Will placing the Modern in make
this not an "original" ride any longer - or can no one tell but me. Also
there is a tie rod end repair kit - what is this and what will it do - is
this a cheep way out or at best a first try step? Did anyone ever use this
kit and have good luck with it?
I have 11 other items that must be repaired prior to getting the sticker -
so I think it will be a while till the truck is on the road.
