I put the "Modern" type on the pitman arm & the steering knuckle.  They are
bolt in (easy to see that they are not original) & are easier to change the
second & subsequent times (originals have to have a flange ground down on
the back & be pressed out).  I can't see why they would "perform" any
better, except maybe that the press in type can get loose with no easy way
to tighten them.
