You sure they aren't talking about literally dipping the parts in a ladle
of molten zinc? (Galvenizing?) It would be tempting to do this, but I
think you'd have trouble getting paint to adhere or look good.
Before you laugh, this is more commonly available than you would think. It
beats fabricating galvenized parts for farm implements etc. and does a
better job. Around here, a lot of snowmobile trailers are dipped to get a
fully galvenized trailer.
