Thanks to all for the responses to my "guidence" entry. I need to mention
that an 84 Camaro is a unibody and uses struts on the front so only has a
lower control arm...no upper... otherwise I would just use the front clip.
Also the 305 engine has only 10K on it so I will probably use it. I would
welcome any other comments or suggestions. I'll include my original message
at the end of this entry. thanks everybody.

Sping is just around the corner and I'm thinking of things I can do to my 51
chevy on my limited budget. I have an 84 Camaro donor car. It has a 305
with 10k on a long block, new carb and a few other goodies. 700R4 tranny.
I'm wanting to use the whole drive train. I really want to make this truck
and everyday driver, something that I would feel comfortable driving 500 to
1000 miles at a clip without any fear. I want it to be comfortable and
safe. I plan on a front disc conversion and using the camaro 3rd member in
the back. My goal for this summer is to get the breaks and rearend intalled
and maybe the engine and tranny set in placeI'm prbably not going to be able
to aford a IFS conversion so will stay with the straight front axel. I was
toying with the idea of a 4 bar rear set up. I have access to eqipment and
facilites, and I'm confident I could build one myself. My questions are
these. Would this be a waste of time without the front modified??? and do
any of you have a 4 bar set up or know of someone with a website where I can
see some pics of the 4 bar setup??
