I forgot to mention, the function of the lock up converter is for increased
mileage. With no slip in the torque converter there is less heat build up and
heat is wasted energy. So, more energy goes to the rear wheels instead out of 
the
radiator. The overdrive is not all for mileage though. Its best function is for
lower emissions. A turbo 350C will give a signifacant mileage increase over its
older sister the regular TH350 and the only difference is the lockup converter.
