Deve,
If you want the whole drum plated you really did't need to sand blast.  Any 
good job shop plater will clean them any how before plating using an acid 
bath and degreaser with numerous rinses between each step. Your sand blasted 
parts will likely not be clean enough for them. 
Check the phone book for platers using "Barrel" plating.  They do nuts, 
bolts, small parts as their main business.  Usually you have a choice of 
Nickle, Chrome, Zinc, Iron Phosphate (Black Iron).
