well,
id say pull it all out and R&R it. its pretty easy really.

and,
on my '57, my original switch wouldnt turn on the cab light, and i got a new
one, exactaly the same (i double checked) and it wont turn the cab light on
either, itll dim the dash lights, but wont turn on the cab light, ive hooked
up the wires to all the free terminals, and according to the shop manuel,
and still nothing, whats wrong here? is it me, or did the cab lights just
not work on the 57s? i have a toggle switch now, but id really like the
rheostat to control it.
thanks,
