well,
i installed a chevy duty harness in my '57 chevy and it served well until
now (3 years) now, everythings suddenly gone wrong. i havent touched a wire
myself, all ive done is take the hood off for body work and now, both
headlights are burnt out, and ive got a 12v draw. its parked right now, with
removed hood/grill, splash apron, cowl vent cover, bed, and lights. im
leaving the front fenders on, becuase there is no rust whatsoever under
them, ive poked around for the last 3 years, ive actually tried to push
though with a screw driver in the common rust out areas, and not so common,
and cant do it. so everything but the cab and front fenders are comming off.
newayz, back to the reason for this post. the chevy duty harness installed
in about 2 days (i was 16, and didnt know what i was doing, but it went in
well) but now. ive got more money, and i have about $620 worth of wireing
and switchs comming from Ron Fracis. the fuse pannel has EVERYTHING, its
HUGE, and what i like about it, over painless, is that if i dont need a wire
at this time (ie, power windows) i dont hook it up, so there wont be a coil
of wire stuffed under the dash. when i get it all done ill tell the list how
it installs,.. and if anyone out there has installed their advantage plus
harness, please ping me on or off list, id like to hear about your pros/cons
and experiences with it.
