Hey Tom,
The word of advice I can pass along is to buy as much compressor (in CFM)
as you can afford, preferably a 220v unit, two stage (not the same as twin
cylinder) if you plan on sand blasting.
Re: the IR vs. CH and HP and CFM, most likely the IR compressor is more
efficient and is a true 3hp, maybe at 1725rpms? vs the CH at 3450rpms?
Since you already have a small compressor to use a "tire filler", you'll
only be using the big one for large jobs that require it.
