I can vouch for it. I have had the 16" now for about 3 years and it is a
great high-performance fan. There are two styles: straight blade and curved.
The curved model is quieter so I went with the straight blade model. It is
pretty loud...scares small children and mommies. This fan is very high
quality too...standard equipment on Ferraris and stuff like that. Not too
expensive though. The only thing you have to buy extra is a 20amp relay kit
from the FLAPS. It comes wired for A/C or manual-on control too.

Spal makes a high output 16" fan (about 2350 CFM) that is only 2 3/4" thick
and mounts to a 49 radiator. I have one on mine which has a 350. I cannot
vouch for the fans performance becasue the truck is still under
construction.
