I don't know what engine it is for but it is a factory manifold for a
Quadrajet carb, and that is worth having. If it fits the 283 then use a Qjet
on it. Qjets are very good when set up properly and are known as 'poor man's
fuel injection'. You will get just as good of milage as with fuel injection
and it will be simple.

I have an intake manifold that I believe may have come off a mid 60's 327 in
a C60. It has the oil fill tube in the manifold.
There is a number cast into the manifold: "3872783". Below is cast "GM
1". There is also a "B146" cast in near the distributor area. Near the
firing order is an "H".
I am not very familiar with carburetors, but it is for a four barrel of some
sort. There are four openings, all round with front 2 about 1 and 9/16",
back 2 about 1 and 3/4".
The bolt pattern for carb is 5 and 1/8" left-to-right, 6 and 1/8" front to
back.
Questions:
A. What did this come on?
B. What type carburetor fits this bolt pattern?
C. Would this be a good manifold to use on a mild 283 (with towing cam)
engine with a small four barrel or Throttle Body injection?
Any help would be appreciated.
