best would be a plasma cutter of course, but
I assume thats out of the budget  ;)

I own both a sawsall and a recip. saw, and
usually only use the recip saw for small jobs.
They (most of them) use much smaller blades
which means they dull quickly and don't have
much rigidity which can cause problems.  I'd
stick with the sawsall.
