I agree with you, I'd rather pay a little extra knowing the part is made of 
quality material and all the parts are there. Sure hope the parts are 
monetarily cheaper and not "cheaper" made--although they usually go hand in 
hand. Kinda sounds like the actual part could fit many applications and may 
not be specifically made for your truck as maybe whey the extra hardware. 
But at least they responded to your situation, you would want to think that 
your email would spark them to ensure their products are for the correct 
application, but sounds like the next guys purchasing an antenna will have 
the same delimma you did unless they look into it..  --wayne
