I used one in a 1968 short truck in 1970 to tow a 3500# race car and trailer
from Florida to Tulsa OK. We cut a stick to jam between the gas pedal and
the seat because our foot would start burning mashing the floorboard
continually, but most of the time ,on the flat, we could keep up with
traffic. Needless to say we got no speeding tickets.
