Guys,

My thanks to all on the advice on my getting my "just ready to install and
fire up" 216 really ready to install!

I have an oil filter that needs restoration and I would like to install it
with the 216. Two more questions: (I know, I know - you are thinking ,
"Will his questions ever end?")

1. Is this filter "original" to a 216 motor? The filter is identical to
the filter for the 235's and a factory filter. I have seen it on many a
Advance Design truck and am wondering if it also belongs on a Art Deco
truck.

2. Even if the filter is not original, is it a good idea to have a filter
to clean the oil and increase the oil capacity a bit? Or with low pressure
"splashers" like the 216, is it better to leave well enough alone?

Again thanks much.
