Bob:
Welcome to the list! I too, own a 56 1/2 ton and have worked on it for
close to 5 years (started showing/cruising four years ago).

Suggest you go to the Vendors page on the oletrucks@autox.team.net website
for information about parts. I've bought many from Chevy Duty, Brothers,
LMC Truck and Harmon's. Only vendor that has gotten some negative press by
our list has been Jim Carter's and I haven't bought anything from them.

Several years ago I bought a restored instrument cluster from Bowtie Bits
(they recondition complete clusters and also sell individual guages). I've
been real happy with the results.

Regarding you glass replacement, check with vendors to see if they accept
returns (in case the glass doesn't fit, and always inquire as to the
return/restocking fees. Some vendors charge upwards of 20% to accept a
return.

Good luck with your project and welcome to the hobby! I think you'll find
this is one of the better lists for getting information and opinions.
