hello all. been a long time since ive posted. ive been having a problem with
my 50 half ton and wondering if any of you have any ideas. the motor is a
mid 50's 235. the truck was already 12v when i bought it years ago. this is the
only problem that ive really had with it. the motor started missing and got
worse. then it wouldnt run at all. new points and condensor got it going.
but for some reason it keeps on burning up the condenser. like i said,the
wiring
is new and appears to be in order. i did replace the original ballasr
resistor with a new one just to try it. if i had to guess and throw a part at
it, i
would try a new coil i assume. ive put 4 condensers in it now in the last
year. it solves the problem but slowly reappears. anybody else run into this?
