I had another therapy session today and it produced a 261 engine in a 57
farm truck. Mechanical condition unknown as well as price but for anyone
interested it is at the junk yard 10 miles west of Greeley. I will be the
guide iffn' U want. I can't get it cuz I already have 2 spares and no more
room. I would like to see someone get it that wants (needs??) it and also
to not see it turned into a Chinese skyscraper. Casting number UNK but the
head is 3836850. There are captain's bars on both sides.
BTW I was there cuz I bought a super straight bumper, splash plate and
bumper brackets offin' the site verboten that rhymes with 'pay' for $20.00
;-). I picked it up and went to look for parts and found anudder ole
trucker struggling to remove a bumper off of a Pcup in the mud. I told him
to go over to my car and look at my 'NEW' bumper and he could have it for
what ever he thought it was worth or he could continue rolling in the mud
for an hour. He chose to go to my car and in five minutes and $10.00 poorer
he had a straight (unchromed) bumper. I will give the splash guard to the
kid next door cuz he is trying to fix up his really beat up 54 Chebby Pcupp.
Did I mention that his Dad does portable welding for a living and I need
the bumper cut offin' my Jimmy?? ;-)
