The bible is AC 43.13, "Acceptable Methods, Techniques and Practices: Aircraft 
Inspection, Repair and Alterations.", published by the FAA and available at 
the pilot shops at most small airports or by mail order from the likes of 
SPorty's (1-800-LIFTOFF).
