Thanks for all the positive and funny replys to my earlier post.

Since then 1:00 Saturday, I have been driving my 59 (with British Tranny) for
the
past 10 hours, top down. Well I did stop for a few beers around 4, and over a
buddy's house for dinner, more beer, some wine, and a few Sambucas after dinner.
We discussed the troubles and came to the conclusion.....Yank it apart and try
again.

We figured I had to do something wrong on the master cylinder rebuild, yank it
apart!
The front U joint must have dropped a needle bearing on assembly...yank it
apart!
The engine oil leak/smoke has to be a faulty PCV valve...swap out with other car
and see!
Electrical problems...George, did that switch come from MOSS? If so there's my
problem!
The old switch worked, replace new with old!
Doggy tranny between 2nd and 3rd has to be the sudden stop due to brake lock up
(car has 4.22 diff.

Solution....Park it for a while and go at it in the spring. Finish the A40
completly first and maybe the racer before attacking it again.

Thanks for all the replies
Frank
